Passing On What Truly Matters
Online Small Group Course | Next Cohort This Spring!
Ever find yourself pondering over the things you own and what they'll mean once you're gone?
What stories do your things tell? Are they just taking up space because tackling them feels overwhelming? What is your relationship to your material world? What stories go with your most special things?
This is where our three-session workshop begins... It's not just about decluttering; it's a journey into making conscious choices about what we leave behind. Together, we'll pinpoint where you feel overwhelmed, tackle projects that you've been pushing off, and thoughtfully decide what's worth holding onto and why. You'll remember and document the stories that go with your special belongings. You will be on the road to creating a conscious material legacy. You will have some very special legacy gifts to share with your beloveds.

“I recently participated in Kit Pappenheimer’s Mortality Matters Small Group Course discussing end-of-life considerations. Wow! It was incredibly valuable for me. Throughout the series of four Zoom workshop sessions, Kit beautifully facilitated intimate and vulnerable conversations about many topics regarding end-of-life that we typically avoid. Our discussions served to “normalize” the process of dying and to remove the stigma and discomfort of talking about these deeply meaningful aspects of our lives.
I highly recommend participating in Mortality Matters if you have ever found yourself contemplating these questions. Personally, I am dealing with a terminal diagnosis so the timing was very helpful for me.”

In-Person or Online Workshop
Whether you're just starting to think about your legacy or you’re already standing solidly in your vision, this online course will give you the support you need to take the next steps on your path.
From 90 minutes to the whole day, this offering is an introduction to the concept of Conscious Legacy and Legacy Work. It is an experiential, thought-provoking and poignant look at end-of-life issues as they relate to your life right now and at its end. Examining our parents’ legacy and the "epigenetics of legacy" will help us to engage with our legacy as it stands today and also what is left undone, unsaid, or unresolved.

“Kit’s online small group helped me consider more practical matters of aging like downsizing to a smaller home. But more importantly, she helped me think about my legacy and how I will be remembered after I die. End-of-life issues are sometimes hard to contemplate, but I really benefited from Kit’s compassion and knowledge in this field.”
— Betsy Wingren, a course participant

“Looking deeply at the various layers of my own legacy and how I think about it has actually let me come to some peace in my own process. While there is still more to learn, it was a relief to be able to address these questions and feel like I am doing right by my kids and loved ones.”
